What Is Dark Lip Neutralization?

Dark Lip Neutralization is a specialized treatment series for those with cool or dark lips in which we neutralize the darkness in the lips to reach a desired color. We look at your lips and neutralize them by cancelling out the original color. With dark lip neutralization, we include the initial appointment as well as 2 touch ups, if needed. Each session is spread out at least 6 weeks apart. It may take 1-3 sessions to achieve your look, and there are special cases in which additional sessions are needed. Typically, we will do dark lip neutralization in those who are Fitzpatrick Scale 3 and up.

So, how do you prep before this procedure?

– Make sure to exfoliate the lips 3 days prior for optimal results.

– 48 hours (2 days) before your appointment, make sure to avoid any type of blood thinner, including, but not limited to: Alcohol, coffee, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Aspirin, Fish Oil, etc.

– Please bring in your favorite lip gloss or lip color; this is how we will make sure that your desired color is matched without simply stating a “red” or a “pink” colors, as this varies.

– Always let us know your personal goals for your lip, and we will take care of the rest.

What Is Lip Blush?

Lip Blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. Although Lip Blushing does not replace lipstick entirely, it is the perfect way to add a pop of color to your lips! Most lip treatments typically starts at $550, and at Next Level Beauty, it even includes your first touch up.

Does this hurt?

Discomfort is minimal and numbing cream is used to insure a painless procedure. This may vary depending on the individuals pain tolerance.

How Long Will Lip Blush take?

There are several stages which include; numbing, outlining the lips, and the actual process of Tattooing. This usually takes roughly 2-3 hours.

Will I need a Touch Up?

The best results generally come from a two step process. Touch ups allow us to analyze how the color regenerates beneath the skin and add in areas that may have healed incorrectly.Touch ups are beneficial for layering the pigment for more saturation and must be completed within 6-10 weeks from the original session.

How Long Does The Results Last?

Approximately 2-3 years after you’ve received your touch up. Skin type and lifestyle can effect the longevity of your cosmetic tattoo - we can not guarantee specific results.

Are there any reasons why I may be ineligible for Lip Blush?

You must be 18+ to receive a service at Next Level Beauty.

As a safety precaution, we refrain from working on individuals who are pregnant or nursing.

There are certain restrictions involved with the Lip Blushing procedure and an online consultation is mandatory before booking in.

If you’ve received lip filler you must wait a minimum of 1 month before receiving your session.
